Eldorado

Our vessel, Eldorado, is a brand new 36’ aluminum landing craft with a 10’ beam, making her the largest and most spacious 6 passenger tour vessel in the Seward Harbor. Up to 6-10’ longer than other 6 passenger tour boats.

Two large booths and a roomy bucket seat up front easily seat nine people, while we limit each trip to a maximum of six guests, so you have plenty of room to spread out.

Bells and Whistles

This is not your typical 6 passenger tour boat. Eldorado was custom built with guest perspective in mind. Every detail is well thought out to provide you with the best experience possible while cruising the Kenai Fjords.

  • A full-sized head (bathroom) with freshwater sink for handwashing
  • Front seat and two roomy booths, with plenty of space to spread out and stay comfortable
  • Two forced-air cabin heaters to keep you warm on even the chilliest of days
  • Forward and aft full-view cabin doors and large panoramic windows for optimal viewing
  • A hot coffee/tea and snack bar to keep you energized throughout the trip
  • Refrigerator to keep our beverages cold- think real half and half for coffee, spindrifts, and sodas! Feel free to BYOB, just no glass please
  • Bluetooth surround sound stereo for you to bump some tunes
  • Drop down bow gate to land safely on beaches, allowing private tours the opportunity to explore beaches and stretch their legs a bit during the trip
  • Ample dry storage for luggage or camera gear

Safety Features

The number one safety feature is Eldorado’s size and seaworthiness. Eldorado is 6-10’ longer than many other competitors’ boats. Eldorado handles choppy waters with ease, maintaining a fast speed while keeping the ride comfortable. She handles great in bigger seas we sometimes find in the gulf, allowing us to get to the glacier comfortably on many days other smaller boats must turn around. Eldorado also has all the standard and many upgraded safety features that are not required. Safety is the utmost priority in Alaskan waters and we made sure to go above and beyond with these additional safety features:

  • Two VHF radios for redundant communication plus a handheld backup VHF
  • Top-of-the-line Garmin radar for clear navigation in low visibility
  • EPIRB emergency beacon
  • 8-person life raft that will automatically inflate when needed

Our goal is simple: to operate the safest, most thoughtfully designed 6 passenger boat in Seward. We can’t wait to welcome you aboard!
