Private 3 Hour Resurrection Bay Tour
The perfect trip for those who want to see what our area has to offer, but don’t want to commit to a full day on the water. Resurrection Bay is stunning and full of wildlife. Whales, sealions, porpoise, harbor seals, sea otters, puffins and many other bird species are all commonly viewed on this trip, as well as the picturesque coastlines of Emerald Cove and the rocky outcroppings of Spire Cove.

As most of our tours are reserved well in advance, short notice cancellations leave empty seats which are unlikely to be filled, at a great detriment to our small business with a very limited season. Therefore, we’ve created a cancellation policy:
- If you cancel 14 days or more before your trip, you will receive a full refund.
- If you cancel and it is less than 14 days before, but is 5 days or more before your trip, you will receive a 50% refund.
- If you cancel less than 5 days before your trip, you will not receive a refund. Last minute bookings are rare in our business and your seats are not likely to be booked with such short notice.
Sometimes, we may need to cancel. Mechanical issues or high winds and/or heavy seas have the potential to keep us from going out. We want you to have an enjoyable, safe experience, so if we deem the weather to be too horrible to leave the harbor, we’ll give you a full refund. Weather can change quickly, but we’re usually able to have a good idea of the forecast so if there are any storms brewin’ we’ll let you know usually a day or two before and talk it over with you.
There are also instances where getting to the glaciers in Aialik Bay is not doable because of big seas, but the protected waters of Resurrection Bay are calm and still full of wildlife and whales. If so you’ll have an option to turn your full day trip into a 3 hour Resurrection Bay Tour and be refunded the difference.

At Wild Fjord Tours, marine fuel is our single largest operating expense. We travel long distances through Resurrection Bay to bring you close stunning scenery and abundant wildlife, and our trip prices reflect typical fuel costs. Because fuel prices can be unpredictable, we reserve the right to add a fuel surcharge when marine fuel rises significantly above normal.
If marine fuel is under $4.50 per gallon on the day of your trip, no surcharge will be applied. If fuel is above $4.50 per gallon, a charge based on the table below will be applied to the card on file the day of your trip. This allows us to give you the best possible experience without regard for fuel costs or distance traveled– getting you to the outer reaches of the bay where the best wildlife viewing happens.
